Holy Week: It's Role In Christians' Foundation Of Faith

Christians have been commemorating the death of Jesus Christ through the Lenten Season since centuries ago. It is a sacred event where they fast, pray and repent for their sins to remember Jesus Christ's agony and sacrifice. It is a way for them to redeem themselves because of the countless sins that they have done. Aside from these, what are the other possible ways in which christians can repent and feel sorry for the sins that they have committed? What is the essence of this event in their life?

Fasting does not only mean skipping meals, it can also be done by prohibiting one's self in using cellphones, laughing, playing games, listening to music and many more. This event takes place only once in a while, so they need to find time to devote their time for God through prayers and thanksgiving.

The death of Jesus Christ is the reason why Christianity exists. It is the foundation of their belief and the epitome of their faith. They believe that their soul will get saved because Jesus resurrected after 3 days of his death. This is the real essence of the holy week, and it's time must be used for good.
