Codependency: An Undisputably Efficient Way to Subdue an Unpredictable Catastrophe



        Knowledge and awareness about a certain disaster are essential capabilities that must be wielded by the people around the community and the country. Being prepared before an unexpected catastrophe is as important as becoming ready before initiating a clash during a war as lives are mainly prioritized in both of these situations. The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill which was instructed by the Philippine Government to the public must be participated by many people in order for the majority of the population to have an expanded information about what should be done before, during and after an earthquake.


        Calamities that have unexpected occurences include earthquakes, which are caused by moderate to high frequency ground movements. These unpredictable disasters can eradicate lives and devastate properties if no preparation or action is taken. The public must consider participating in earthquake drills in order to at least minimize the risk of losing lives and decrease the number of affected properties. A community which members are active and involve themselves on the practice of safety measures will likely be able to overcome any disaster that they may go through as their people have unity.

        The public must also do their best to contribute to their community through participating in the mentioned activities because this is a great preventative strategy given that their leaders came up with these ideas for their own good. The people must have harmony and coherence because these accomplishments will undoubtedly benefit them in the long run.

       The year 2020 was arguably a time of consecutive catastrophes and events which made many really struggle since the start of the year. The said year taught us a lesson, to continue improving and growing in order to overcome and withstand unexpected events.
